Speculation has been rife in the F1VWC paddock as to whether Daan Van Renswoude would race again for the EIRE team.

After the British GP, where he finished 6th, Daan disappeared from the F1VWC driver listings again. While enjoying his holiday he thought about racing again and in this case: racing again with EiRE Jaguar in the 2004 or maybe 2005 F1VWC season. After 3 weeks he faced the facts and decided not to appear on the Hungarian GP grid. The reason being lack of time, too busy with other activities.

Ponissi was, of course not happy with van Renswoude's decision, but understands it very well: "Personal life is always at No.1" Ponissi said.

With that decision being made Loram climbed back into the car to do the Hungarian GP, despite terrible pain in his knees.

Whiteman on the other hand could do no harm to Jakonen's position in the Drivers Championship, all because his 'great' Logitech Momo Racing wheel gave him lot's of headaches again. The problems where that big that Whiteman couldn't even finish the race and with Elencevski from FinOz winning the GP, he even dropped down to 3rd position in the Driver Championship.

So, no luck for EIRE this season and with both Loram and Whiteman not sure if they will stay in F1VWC next year, the future doesn't look that bright yet either.

More news soon.
