While Willy Ponissi is busy with settling the EiRE base in Utrecht, Netherlands, the team introduces Martin Buchan as second driver next to Scott Whiteman for the remaining season.

Buchan, who is also racing in the GPC league for JPR Racing and in the HOWC league for Fusion Lotus owned by Phil Perkins, joins the Formula 1 Virtual World Championship for the first time. The Team gave Buchan a warm welcome as he came to visit the new factory and we asked him a couple of questions:

How do you feel driving for EiRE for the remaining season?

?I feel really good as it shows that my GPC league results have been noticed by some of the top teams in F1VWC and that the big team boss's see potential in me.?

Did you follow this league before you joined it?

?Yes I did follow the league as I may be competing next year in the second league, if there will be a second league that is, with JPR Grand Prix under Andy Muir's watchful eyes (Hi Andy!). So I wanted to get a feel for it.?

Did you drive in leagues other than GPC before, if yes, in which leagues?

?I hadn't driven in any other league before as the GTPC league closed down when I was going to be JPR's test driver. So we moved to GPC. Now I also race in the HOWC for a team from Phil Perkins, a fellow F1VWC competitor of course.?

What are your hopes for your first GP at Monza for EiRE?

?To finish really and also be happy with my own performance. I?m not going to be a revelation as I have only been playing Grand Prix 4 for less than a year, so I am still learning.?

When are you satisfied with your performance?

?Just when I feel I have performed to the most of my capabilities, a good result is always a bonus.?

Is it sure yet that you will join JPR Grand Prix for 2005? Or is it possible that you stay with EiRE?

?As I said, if the second league goes ahead next year I am DEFINETLEY with JPR Grand Prix next year as a driver and if it doesn't go ahead I will be test driver for the team. This is not meaning I wouldn't want to stay at EIRE as the team is a nice one. It's just that I have always been with JPR and I have already agreed a contract really.?

Tim Williams, team manager for EiRE Jaguar hopes Buchan feels well within the team and will be able to score maximum points.
