FinOz Racing took 3rd and 14th starting places to the Italian GP after interesting qualifying session where Ryan McConkey was fastest before Nazario Nuti (+0.077). FinOz Racing Elencevski, who has won the last two races, was 3rd quickest and only 0.292 seconds slower than McConkey.

"Steve has great starting position once again and I'm sure he can challenge yet another victory come race day. I'm having a bit of mixed feelings looking my own position down the grid. Maybe we are on different strategy than most of the others, I surely hope that the explanation.

I'm confident we will have another good race ahead of us. At Monza anything can happen at turn one, of course by starting from the front of the grid makes life much more easier, but It's not a disaster for me either. I'm confident for the race that I've made right decision about the strategy and I'm able to score some important points."

FinOz Team manager and Driver Kari Koski commented their performance right after the qualifying session.

Jakonen vs. Elencevski

The Drivers Championship fight will be between Mikko Jakonen and Steve Elencevski after Scott Whiteman had to miss the Italian GP. Jakonen qualified in his Mapes-VO 6th place, just over 2 tenths slower than Elencevski. Gap between the two is only 14 points with 4 races still to go.
