The first testing session of 2001 is scheduled for 6th-8th January.

The test will run at Silverstone - Great Britain

The test is for new drivers only.

All information and data for the test can be downloaded here!

Testing

Drivers must use Grand Prix 3 v1.13

Drivers must drive in Unlimited Practice only

Drivers MUST use the carset supplied for the test

Drivers must follow the correct procedure (listed below)

Laps will be disqualified where the driver cuts a corner - (eg: maximum of 2 wheels on the grass)

Hitting barriers/walls is not allowed

Download the test_set.zip file from the GPVWC website

Download GP3 Edit from the GPVWC website

Install GP3 Edit

Unzip test_set.zip

Load GP3 Edit

Select File>Open

Select the test_set.gp3 file that came out of the test_set.zip file

Select Options>Export to game

Select Export from the menu that appears

Wait for Carset information to be exported to your game

Load Grand Prix 3

Select a team (they are all the same)

Enter your name in the 'Enter Name Here' space

Select session as Practice

Select Circuit as Silverstone

Select Level as PRO

Select Race Options

Ensure Weather is set to Custom and 000% Probability of rain

Analogue users must make sure that their steering help is set to no more than 30%

(Digital users can have as much steering help as they wish)

Start Practice Session

Put enough fuel in your car to complete 15 laps

Leave the pitlane

Complete 15 laps (not including pit out lap and pit in lap) - DO NOT make a pitstop between these laps

After lap 15 go back into the pitlane

Select Car Setup

Fetch Logged Data

View Logged Data

Save EACH lap that you completed (15 laps)

Return to cockpit

Press Escape

Select Options>Save

Save your 2 FASTEST hotlaps

Exit game

Zip all 15 lap files and 2 fastest hotlaps together using WinZip

You should then write an email as follows:

Full Name

Controller (Analogue/Digital)

Fastest lap time

Send the email with ZIP file attached to submit@gpvwc.f2s.com

Wait for full results to be posted
