There was a celebration at Woods Racing last night, with plenty of drink. Pepsi, to be precise, as the team sponsor was at Interlagos to see the team secure 7th in the standings (albeit on wins) and make their team goal in order to get some funds for 05 and keep Toyota in the frame for 05 as well.

"14th and DNS may not be great results," admitted Ollie Woods, "but we've come here and got what we came for, which was our car in the top 8 of the Constructor's Championship. It's been a hell of a bumpy ride, but I'm so proud of the way we've stuck through it and made the season go better than I'd imagined. Those two wins that we got were very important, but even without them I'm pleased with 6 more points to that total - I'd been expecting about 2!"

The Pepsi flowed all night, as the team partied on through the small hours. The other teams had all been invited; some had come, others hadn't, but the amount of things to do (a Nintendo Gamecube playing the first release of their new Woods Racing game was in the corner) made it the party of the season.

Woods had one final word: "I'd just like to thank everyone involved at the VWC for this great season, and especially all the past and present Woods drivers. Now if you'll excuse me I want to try this game!"
