December 08, 2004
To a small crowd of reporters, and sat with race driver Juha Tanskanen, David Cummings broke cover since his team were allowed to stay in the F1VWC championship

"I would just like to say thank you to the Governing Body that has allowed to stay in the championship for 2005, and we promise you wont regret your choice in letting us race with you.

The Puma 2005 car is known to those that have built her, as ?Atlantis?, so named in memory of the astronauts whom sadly died the ?space race?. We thought this was apt for our car, because they where pushing the boundaries of engineering, as we here with this vehicle.

The 2005 car will be launched at our base in Rainford Merseyside, in our new F1VWC museum in the ?Ayrton Senna? conference centre at 7pm on the 20th December 2004, I hope that everyone here will be able to attend.

The race car will tomorrow under go its first shakedown tests on the Silverstone circuit.

We will now take some questions?

Q1 - Juha How much are you looking forward to driving the somewhat different Puma F1 race car?
A1 - I?m looking forward to it very much, actually I could say that I?m quite optimistic if we speak about the upcoming season, there are a few circuits where we don?t have to give away any advantage of the lack of BHP, in those circuits where we have to do so, I take it as a challenge and try to do my best to have the best result possible for them

Q2 - Do you get on with the other members of the team?
A2 - Yes I do, I am happy that I can say that team sprit at Puma, is very strong at the moment and I think that it might give us some extra boost at hard times that we may face in the coming season.

Q3 - We believe that main man, Dave Cummings can be a bit of a joker?
A3 - Well, yeah, most of the times?.but he has that other side too as we all do?

Q4 - Is it true, you and Dave are going to do the cars first shakedown laps tomorrow?
A4 - Yeah I am. I still haven?t driven a meter with Puma car so I don?t have any idea what it will be like, but as everyone will go right I am confident that we will have very god shakedown test?

Q5 - Overall Juha, are you happy with having a drive for 2005?
A5 - well of course I am, having a drive in 2005 was my mission and we did succeed in that, so what else could I be than happy?.Im very motivated and I always give 120% effort to get a best result possible to myself and for team, so I believe that next season should be a good one.

Q6 - So Dave, how many 2005 chassis do you have?
A5 - Three at this time, to brand new 2005 spec, Chassis 01, and 03. Chassis 02 is being crash tested by the governing body. We will howver have three cars as the test tomorrow, an interim 2005 spec car, built on the 04 chassis, and two of the 2005 chassis.

Thank you all for your time.
