With the final pre-season tests in Austria and South Africa out of the way, Constant Racing have arrived in Melbourne for Round 1 of the Grand Prix Virtual World Championship. The team, now powered by Renault, saw an instant improvement in competitiveness in the last 2 tests, particularly in Austria where Mark Stanton broke into the top 10 (P9).

At Albert Park, the aim will be to bring both cars home with at least one of them in a points paying position, a very realistic prospect for the team. Stanton has already expressed his love for the circuit and with Renault power he finally has the chance to put the car where it belongs.

However a congested midfield could see sparks (and wings!) fly into turn 1. With both drivers expected to be right in the thick of things at the start, survival will be key. Ponissi, a past master at avoiding turn 1 incidents, will be hoping to capitalise once again. The old adage "You can't win the race on lap 1 but you can sure as heck lose it" will be ringing in both drivers ears as the 5 red lights go out.
