The GPVWC Administration published the official Entry List for the 2011 GPVWC Superleague, the 12th season of the prestigious simracing World Championship. The list include a total of 12 teams, 9 of which competed in the 2010 season: the three that, unfortunately, will not feature in the new year are Argentina Racing Team, CSG Racing and Oz Racing.

The departure of these outfits - even of two which scored a handsome amount of points in the previous campaign - sends a strong message to the GPVWC world, to which the Administration highlights the importance of commitment and reliability. It is indeed the focus of the 2011 season to have as many drivers as possible take part in the races, and the teams selected for the Entry List offer the best guarantee to field two cars in each event, ensuring a high level of competition and thus raising the enjoyment and the profile of the GPVWC.

An encouraging number of teams, six, applied for the available team slots: while the three chosen teams offered exceptional guarantees of participation and competitiveness, the GPVWC Administration would like to thank the remaining three outfits for their interest and invite them to apply for the forthcoming GPVWC Supercup, whose details will be announced over Christmas. The three new teams are Nijo Racing, boasting GPVWC Masters Series experience and the skilful management of Chris Williamson (driver and author of many race reports in the 2010 season); Triple-Double Racing, with two years of Masters' experience under the name Triple-Double Engineering, owned by Ben Warren; and Midnight Motorsport, a new outfit but owned by hugely experienced Nick Rowland of CSG fame. All three teams will enter the league with great ambitions, in the full knowledge of the competitive field they will be facing.
