Confirmation of their successful entry in the Superleague has been met with jubilant scenes at the Nijo Racing headquarters. Team leader Chris Williamson is looking toward to an exciting season ahead for the team, who are hoping to build on a successful run in the winter Master? series. They are now working hard to put together a competitive package and the team are anticipating some strong performances, and maybe one or two upsets, over the course of the 2011 season.

Despite the technical challenges invloved in putting together a completely new team in Superleague, as well as having the limitations of a relatively small budget, the team? prepararions for next season are already well under way and currently remain on schedule. Indeed, the driver lineup is now largely in place and is looking stronger than many might have expected. Details of the driver lineup are set be announced in the near future.

As for the car, the team? Superleague challenger, the NR11, remains in the design stage and ultimately awaits a engine deal to be confirmed. However, the engineers are working hard on the chassis design and early windtunnel tests are looking promising. In the meantime, Nijo Racing have managed to acquire a 2010 test chassis from the now defunct ART team and have successfully conducted some private testing with this car to help provide basic data before the NR11 prototype is ready to test. A private test shot of the first test is available.
