With the recent announcement of the 2011 GPVWC Superleague team list, one of the newest teams, Triple-Double Racing were delighted to hear the news that their licence application to compete was accepted by the adminstration team, joining Nijo Racing and Midnight Motorsport as the new boys on the block. Previously known as Triple-Double Engineering, the little known team previously competed in the GPVWC Megane Trophy Winter Series in 2009, and have most recently been running a limited participation project in this year's GPVWC Masters series.

Team manager Ben Warren, who competed in just one GPVWC Superleague race last season with ST Racing, appeared surprised, yet undoubtedly delighted that his team project has been given the green light to compete. Just hours after the announcement, Warren was available for comment. "Well, firstly I'd like to thank the GPVWC adminstration team for granting TDR with the opportunity to compete this season in the Superleague. It's an opportunity many teams in lower formula would do anything for, and we are definitely grateful for the opportunity. It's fair to say this was a very last minute project, so to get everything prepared and then have our application accepted is just fantastic. Now we can put all our focus towards developing our first car, start negotiating with potential sponsors, and of course acquire some drivers!"

The team has most recently been linked to driver Jyri Lylykorpi taking one of the available seats, with Warren himself occupying the other seat. When asked about these rumours, Warren was quick to say that no decision on drivers has been made yet. "Right now, we haven't made a decision on either seat, but we'll no doubt be holding talks with various people soon, and will gladly listen to offers from potentially interested drivers as well." Warren added, "We will announce our drivers when we feel the time is right."

Many people are also starting to speculate on what car livery Triple-Double Racing may appear with for the upcoming season. In previous competitions, Warren has shown up in a light pink, Playboy sponsored livery, which has drawn many positive and negative reactions from around the paddock. When asked whether the 'pink bunny livery' as it's affectionally been refered in the past, is going to be making an appearance in Superleague, Warren simply said "unlikely, but you never know."
