Draig Racing called an early Press meeting on Thursday morning, one which caught some of the Media off guard. The meeting was held at Draig's Press office in the Brecon Beacons.

Under the mist that had descended, Team Owner Mike Phillis came out of the door to greet all who could attend this meeting. "It's with great pleasure that I welcome you all to the lovely surroundings of the Brecon Beacons and Draig Racing HQ. First of all, I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our previous employees who helped us in our maiden campaign. And now what we came here to see and witness."

Phillis led the press to the newly refurbished Press room, walking past the GPVWC Supercup Constructors trophy won in 2010. Past the door, the lights were dimmed, strobes were flashing and Alistair Griffin's 'Just Drive' was streaming throught the air - this had to be BIG news. Phillis stood in front of a stage and solemnly announced: "Introducing the 2011 Draig Racing pairing... Lee Morris and Liam Hatchell!"

A flurry of camera flashes ensued, flash bulbs trying to keep up with the stobes as everyone's jaws dropped. "These two drivers have the ability and knowledge to be able to secure podiums for the team" said Phillis, "podiums which make points, which in turn creates titles. This is what we at Draig Racing are wanting. We had the opportunity last year, but due to some un-savvy business, it took us till the third quater of the season to make anything of ourselves. This year coming, we will have no problems with that." Phillis's opening statement seemed to inspire the gathered press.

Morris kept his detail short but to the point. "I'm happy to be able to drive at Draig Racing, the team has been fully committed to myself. With all my ambitions for the following season, with the backing of my pit crew, and all the hard working staff here at Brecon, I'm sure not only myself, but Draig Racing can achieve anything we believe in." A man with few words... but powerful ones.

Hatchell kept his words to a minimum too. "Firstly. I'd just like to thank Mike Phillis for this opportunity to race for his team. They're new to the Superleague as an outfit but last year I saw that they were a very strong group. I think myself and all of the team members are going to bond well next year. Our Superleague team will be strong and I'm sure the Supercup team will show some real talents to move into a Superleague seat in the future."

"I'm eager to start the season already," Hatchell said, "I can't wait to pitch myself against Lee - who is a fantastic driver - and hopefully be at the front of the grid on regular occasions. I'm committed to bringing team 1-2's in every race and I'll do everything to make sure that happens. Again, thanks to Draig Racing for making this happen".

Having had pictures of the two Superleague drivers enjoying each others company, media then turned to welcome yet another new face, in the shape of Ryan Walker, who was announced as Test driver for the 2011 season. Walker went on record to state "Obviously I am happy to be joining the team and look forward to working with Mike, Liam and Lee. I hope I can do a good job as test driver and help with the car and help the team out by giving feedback during test sessions - hopefully the team can be up the front challenging for podiums and victories and the Drivers' and Constructors' Championships as well."
