European Williamson Dynamics have finally come forward to name their first confirmed driver in their 2011 line-up. Londoner, Ojay Clark has agreed to put pen to paper in a one season deal with the team which will see Ojay take up position on the grid in the number 19 car. Clark proved a surprise signing, with many speculating against the signing of a newcomer to the team, regardless this signing ensure the team remain true to their British roots after their recent move to Germany by having at least one Briton seated in the team.

Team owner Ben Williamson was enthusiastic in announcing Clark's appointment and was quick to throw his weight behind the driver for an impressive season ahead;

"We looked at numerous drivers in order to begin making appointments, it has been a tough and ongoing process with much to consider. Likely form, discipline, professionalism, commitment, personalilty, skill and how a driver would fit into the current team are all important factors and Ojay's application stood out right away" stated Williamson.

"Here we had an all round impressive driver, with bags of enthusiasm and he had actually taken the time to learn a little about us and our ethos. Further negotiation with Ojay showed him to be a consumate professional, frankly he couldn't have corresponded better with us. At this point making it official became a no-brainer"

Ojay himself was also visibly pleased to have secured a race seat when so many will not. Clark had been linked with several teams in recent weeks but informed the press that Williamson Dynamics was his preferred choice thanks to the high media presence and reputation of the team, and mirroring the team owner's disdain for lack of enthusiasm added that the renewed vigour within the team made it an attractive destination.

Of course, the young driver also accepted that he would naturally draw a lot of focus in the coming season, but seemed comfortable with the suggestion;

"I am very confident that I can do a good job for the team and consistently run in the points. I aim to regularly qualify in the top ten. I could say I am aiming higher but it is really too early to make any brash claims. First I need to test the car, something I'm looking forward to doing"

The driver continued;

"I have bucket loads of confidence in the team, particularly after finding out about our healthy budget for the season. I've also been assured the team will work with closely with me to develop setups and will analyse my performance carefully which is very encouraging."

Remarking on any special highlights in the upcoming season, Clark's enthusiasm still failed to wane;

"Honestly I'm looking forward to everything. From what I've seen so far I think it's going to be fantastic season, not just for WDGP but for GPVWC as well. If I had to pick a favourite event it would be Monaco as it requires immense concentration and precision, I took my first sim racing pole postion there and I just love driving round the track. I'd like to extend my thanks to Ben and the whole team, I'm very much looking forward to a wonderful season ahead."

The team did however continue to remain silent as to the remainder of the setup for 2011, with names such as Tim-Oliver Wagner, Roy Wachtmeester, Gregg Lawson, Adam Smith, Gavin Thomas and FSR heavyweight (and 2002 GPVWC Competitor) Blair Disley all being closely linked with the team's remaining race drive. The two test drivers also remain unknown at this stage, but sources close to the team speculate that it is likely the team will move to finalist this as soon as possible and make the knowledge public to focus on more pressing matters in the season build-up.
