BA Racing and Red Arrows are currently locked deep in talks after Peter Knif - who is contracted to BA Racing but on loan to Red Arrows - has retired as a driver to take up an assistant manager role within the Red Arrows team.

BA Racing team manager/owner Neil Robinson has been enraged by this deal and has stated that he wants $8000 compenstation for Knif breaking his contract.

Robinson commented "It has come to my attention that Peter Knif has signed for Red Arrows as the Assistant Manager, This was agreed as a verbal contract before my knowledge and is a breach of contract. I signed Peter originally as my test driver and stated that he could be loaned to other teams but would still be part of BA Racing. I agreed to a full season (loaned) contract with Devils Team Manager Peter Kent. Red Arrows seeking him to be a Assistant Manager without my knowledge is a breach of contract as he was officially signed to me.

I put it to Peter Kent (Red Arrows team manager) that unless I get conpensation for this act, then i will be forced to take this through the governing body to decide what action has to be taken. I hope this will be sorted out soon and without hassle before the next race at spa."

Peter Kent - Red Arrows team manager/owner was unavailable for comment when this story was posted.
