A crop of rumours has surfaced regarding Green Stripes Racing, the only team yet to announce their 2012 driver lineup.




The German team, which are expected to make their debut in the Superleague at the Australian Grand Prix in Melbourne, are striking in being the only team yet to uncover their driver deals, and this has fuelled speculation that not all might be in order with the outfit’s secretive headquarters.


Despite securing the funds to start the season early in November, Green Stripes Racing has been quiet lately, prompting some insiders to suggest the team is severely lagging behind in their preparations for the season. “The Management hasn’t been around much, no” said a team engineer, who chose not to be named, “we are working on some preliminary designs but there’s been no word about when work on the 2012 contender will start yet.”


Optimists might want to point out the secrecy shrouding the German team could be prelude to a shock announcement. Speculation on Facebook put the name of the most illustrious driver yet to find a seat for 2012, Dave Carr-Smith, as one of the possible drivers for Green Stripes
