Coming off another successful test session in France, Constant Racing
unveiled their new 2012 livery to the world this afternoon. As expected the team has maintained the striking orange and white
colour scheme which debuted last year. In addition to the four sponsors
already announced, a new band known as ?The Vivid Hollow? has also
joined forces with the St Helens based outfit. Indeed, with this latest signing Constant are quickly becoming known as the rock ?n? roll team of GPVWC!

Once again the team?s livery was devised and created by none other
than Mark Stanton. Mark fielded many a question at the livery launch,
below is a selection of his responses.

Q) Mark, you?ve produced another great looking car, talk us through the livery?

?The livery design was quite a challenge this year as the
chassis didn?t really lend itself to some of the initial ideas we had.
At first we were looking at returning to the red liveries of 2009 and
2010, but in the end we chose to stick with the orange that we debuted
last year.?

Q) From a managerial standpoint how do you think pre-season testing has gone?

?Pre-season has been a bit of a challenge for us. We were
plagued by technical issues in Jerez, but we?ve made up for that in
Imola, Austria and France where we?ve fielded at least 3 cars in each
session.?

Q) How confident are you in the team?s RD program/strategy? Do you have any updates arriving for the first few races?

?We?ve got a pretty good R&D plan set out and as long as we can keep a good supply of RD points we should be okay.?

Q) How is the Volkswagen engine performing?

?The engine has been pretty good so far. It?s a little
more thirsty than last years Renault and the gearbox doesn?t seem as
strong, but there isn?t any significant performance difference to the
higher spec engines that we?ve seen so far.?

Q) Who do you and David (Stanton) expect to be fighting this season?

?Each other mainly, though we expect to be high midfield
throughout the year. I know myself and Ojay (Clark) have always been of
similar pace and we?ve had some good battles in the past, so I?ll look
forward to battling with him again.?
