Green Stripes Racing today announced that Dave Carr-Smith, the team's second reserve driver, would take to the wheel of the 27 car today at the Hungarian GP in place of regular driver Christoph Lichtenstein.

Team Manager Lichtenstein was said to be unavailable due to other commitments; hence the team's need to replace him for this event. The Green Stripes team has endured a difficult start to the season with a single 17th place finish being their only result so far this season.

Carr-Smith, who hasn't started a Superleague event since the 2011 season finale in Singapore remained realistic on his chances in today's event.

"It's good to have the opportunity to get back into a car at this level, obviously I've taken part in free practice for the team this season but to be back behind the wheel for the full event is great. The car feels pretty good here, we've seen some encouraging results in testing so I definitely think that we can achieve a top fifteen finish to get some prize money for the team. To expect anything more than fifteenth, given the preparation time we have had, is unrealistic; anything more is merely a welcome bonus."

Team Owner, Christoph Lichtenstein, was unavailable for comment.
