Welsh Superleague outfit Red 5 Racing is set for a major facelift, early reports say. Ex-Midnight Motorsports reserve driver and data analyst, Jamez Shepherd, will take the helm of the valleys-based squad ahead of the Korean GP.

"The whole team is going through some big changes at the moment", said Shepherd, "We have new sponsors coming in, a new livery, new drivers, and of course new management. Everything will be revealed at the upcoming race in Korea."

It is widely rumoured that Gavin Thomas would hang up his gloves completely, however the team state that he will only be stepping down from his management duties and remain with the squad as the driver of the number 21 car.

The GPVWC Administration stated early reports of the changeover mentioned the team denomination will not change, and as such the new-look Red 5 Racing will continue as the same entity as the team that took part so far.
