After a long and stressful winter, the TSA Racing crew finally took to the track for the first time in their 2014 Supercup challenger at Snetterton (England), the team's local track.

2014 marks the first time TheSixthAxis Racing has entered their own team into GPVWC's career ladder. However, their line-up are by no means strangers to the open-wheelers. The team's number one driver is 2013's only 100% finisher from the career ladder, none other than Thomas Jacobs. After a strong 2013 with United Racers in FC which included a win at Korea after the leaders collided on the final lap, and an astounding Race of Champions campaign, the TSA Racing regular has been snapped up to lead their Supercup charge.

Partnering Jacobs in the #31 car will be team boss and TSA Racing co-founder Cameron 'Bowser' Brewster. Despite only taking part in Formula Challenge from the Canadian round onwards (incidentally partnering Jacobs at United Racers), Brewster proved himself to have a never give up attitude and as long as four wheels are on the car, he can be relied upon to bring the car home. The Suffolk man's pace was often not on par with team-mate Jacobs, however a strong performance in the 2013 Masters series shows that on his day, he has the pace to be right up the front of the grid. 2014 will be all about improving his setup knowledge and trying to match Jacobs in both qualifying and race sessions.

Taking on the reserve and test driver role at the team is Matthew Williams. Williams has been a frequent appearance for TSA since they joined the GPVWC community and will be looking to help tweak car setups with Jacobs and Brewster, whilst also focusing on his own championship fight for Playseat Racing in the 2014 Formula Challenge series.

Further to driver announcements, the trip to Snetterton also gave the general public their first glimpse of the livery to be featured on the team's car. Designed by Brewster himself, it once again features title sponsorship from gaming website TheSixthAxis, a partnership which will continue throughout the whole of 2014 and beyond. Further sponsors include the return of Playseat, WIX Filters, ZiiP.co.uk, Lords Photodigital and Codemasters. A new addition to the car for 2014 is the logo of game developer FuturLab. FuturLab is the creator of the very popular 'Velocity' series of games as well as the newly released 'Surge Deluxe' PS Vita title.

A final note to make about the team is that for 2014 they are part of a technical partnership with Superleague title contenders, Nordsjoen Racing. This partnership means the TSA Racing car bares the Nordsjoen and Martex logos and there will be expert advice on hand from veterans of GPVWC to help the Supercup newcomers with their championship ambitions.

Enjoy the announcement video created by Thomas Jacobs, and we look forward to bringing you some entertaining action throughout the whole of 2014.
