A change in the line-up ahead of the first race of the season.
Action returned this week for the Supercup at Jerez for the single pre-season test ahead of the season opening event in Australia.

PB Racing arrived at the venue fielding only one car. Computer gremlins saw the #37 car of Maurice Brackhahn sidelined for the test. As a result of these issues, the German driver will be starting in the first race of the season. His place will be taken by Hungarian driver, Balint Hammer.

Hammer has already become acquainted with the team following his signing as a reserve driver to the team. Currently he is only expected to start in Melbourne, a situation that team owner Tom Parker says may change throughout the season depending on the availability and schedule of his primary drivers.

The team is delighted to welcome Hammer who has already begun his work in preparation around the Albert Park circuit, impressing his new team.

Returning about to the pre-season test in Jerez, Philip Cullen notched up 29 laps in total in what the team described as a 'simple shakedown' of the new car and systems ahead of the first race of the season.

The Irish driver placed 18th overall at the test with a best time of 1m 22.252, two seconds off the pace setting time. The time was set on the option tyres on 'reasonable fuel' levels.

Talking to reporters after the test, Cullen stated he was happy to just get a feel for the car after spending most of last year on the sidelines.

"Times are not significant here, particularly on a track that isn't on the calendar. Everything works, that is what we can take from this shakedown. The real test is on Wednesday night when the competition begins proper."
