We are pleased to inform you that Walk Racing will be fielding two cars in the GPVWC World Sports Series Championship, which starts in Barcelona on March 18th
The series uses the Flat-6 Porsche 997 GT3RS mod, as used recently and with great success in the Virtual Carrera Cup, which was won by Risto Kappet and Walk Racing, who 'walked' away with both drivers and teams championships.

With this, the obvious choice for the series was Risto Kappet, who is obviously very comfortable with the car, and looking for good results in his quest for GPVWC dominance. He will be joined by Walk Racing's newest recruit, Englishman, Cameron Brewster.

Brewster said on his being hired by the team, "Last season was my debut season in WSS and I managed to achieve a 10th place finish. Hopefully this year I'll be able to work my way closer to the top 5 as well as doing my part to help Walk to clinch the teams' title. In 2014, I was weaker during qualifying and Race One, at each event.so I'll be looking to improve my early-evening performances to enhance my point-scoring ability"

When asked about the coming season, he said "based off of last year's results, in theory I should be strongest at the first round, Spain. Last season I managed to achieve a 2nd place finish in race two after holding off some stiff competition and nailing the start. Other than that, I'm very much looking forward to Istanbul and Monza as they're two of my favourite tracks".

Risto Kappet, who is looking to repeat his VCC dominance said "I know the mod very well, and love the Porsche's as always, and I plan for nothing more than to pick up where I left off in the VCC. It will definitely be much tougher, since this league will be using very serious weight penalties and reverse grids, which will make dominating almost impossible no matter the pace. But I will be trying my best, not only to dominate myself, but to help oversee my new and promising teammate, Cameron Brewster. Another factor is that the tracks in the GPVWC SuperCup, and WSS match, so instead of taking time away from each other, they instead will be helpful. I'm expecting very good competition, especially in the beginning of the season, but from the few laps I have done at Catalunya so far, I can only say that there are good things to expect from this season!"

Team boss Mr. C concluded by saying "I am really glad that we have got the opportunity to extend our GPVWC participation with the World Sports Series. I am also glad that we have a new addition to our team, Cameron Brewster, who showed good pace in the VCC, but we are sure, that being under our wing, he will show good consistent speed. Risto is very familiar with the cars, and the only new thing for him will be the addition of success balast and race formats .I really have high hopes for this championship and a podium spot in the team standings it's our goal".

The series kicks off as mentioned at Barcelona, before moving to nine further rounds, including legendary tracks such as Silverstone, Spa and Monza. Full details can be found on the GPVWC website, as well as pre race and post race reports and analysis on our website.
