The BA Racing-Cosworth team launched their 2002 Challenger this morning.

The Team itself has been up and running for now nearly 2 years since the start of GPVWC in late 2000. Since the demise of the league the team has since joined up with DPMRA and now back where the roots were created. This Team has developed an impressive pedigree within its short time span, having finished 2nd overall in the GPVWC Constructors Championship and Winning the Drivers Title with the sensationally fast Jason Endean.

Anyhow onto 2002 which is a new ball game entirely, new teams, new managers and obviously new drivers. Well as you probably know by now this Team isn't one to brag about what it has done nor what it can do, its a simple theory we work on and that's basically teamwork and showing what we have on the Track not the papers.

The Team is very well kitted out for a good 2002 challenge and with a little hard work and determination then we see no reason why we can't have a classic nail biting season.

Team Talk

Neil Robinson :

"After viewing the early testing reports and seeing the new cars in action I am looking forward to what is potentially a very exciting season. I would also like to express my delight at the reformation of what is possibly the most enjoyable league I have been involved in, and this season with the new Teams, Drivers and Managers should prove to be very interesting towards the end."

Martyn Kiely:

"I can only concur with what Neil has said the Team has been looking very impressive during pre-season practice sessions and I believe that we have put together a very well structured and disciplined Team to stand shoulder to shoulder with our Drivers, our Mechanics and Engineers are, we believe, some of the best in the business and I would like to publicly state that Neil and myself are extremely proud to be working with such true professionals. I would like to close my statement by wishing all of the Teams and Drivers a successful season, and to remind you all that the green dot miles ahead is a B.A. Racing car!"

Michel de Vries:

"In addition to the remarkably eloquent statements made by Neil and Martyn I would like to report that the 2002 season looks like being a reasonably profitable year for the Team as a whole, early indications suggest that revenue from merchandise and sponsorship will go through the roof, which is nice"

Phillip Williams:

"Personally I think this seasons car looks very impressive, the new bodyshape is also aerodynamically sound. The car cuts through the air like a ship through water."

Paul Davis:

"Cosworth have put together the most impressive engine package that I have ever seen the car uses the power that the engine produces extremely well, which is a credit to the design team, and we have had no problems with duration reliability."

Jonathan Jones:

"Mechanically the car is sound. Nothing fell off in testing which we all assume to be a good thing!"
