The winter series, which received an incredible amount of team applications, will feature feature and sprint races as it returns in January 2016.
The GPVWC Administration announced the 2015/16 Masters Series, which is scheduled to take place on five separate weekends in January, will feature a "regular", single-round qualifying session with no private qualifying.

The race weekend will then feature two races per event, with a feature race with mandatory pit-stop and a sprint one, both awarding full points to complete the event. The sprint race will also feature a reverse grid for the lead finishers of the feature race, with a random number between six and 10 chosen to define the reverse range.

An announcement of the final team lineup is expected to come ahead of Christmas, with 15 slots available and a total of 30 cars.
