After the dizzying heights and the few lows of 2017, Malta Force GP announced a competitive lineup mixing youth and experience.

2017 was a year of mixed feelings for Malta Force. On one hand, they fielded the incredible Alex Siebel to a shocking total of eighteen wins and subsequently the drivers' title as well, but on the other hand, they struggled to find a permanent teammate for him, which is one of the main reasons Malta Force lost the constructors' title to Measuric racing. This year, Malta Force is back with a brand new driver line-up aimed at taking the fight right back to the opponents.

The number #44 this year is being run by talented teenager Fabian Rudde, who has only half a year's sim racing experience before 2018. Up is the only way for this brand new driver, who excels in single seaters and scored a point in just his second Formula Challenge outing last year.

"I am very pleased that Jason [Muscat] has given me the chance to drive in Supercup and I want to prove that I am a competitive driver here in career ladder." said Fabian. "I hope I can finish in the top ten at the end of the season."

The number #77 this year is being run by Formula Challenge race winner Matthew Marquard, a South African moving in from YTF1. Marquard is also a very new driver, only joining the GPVWC for 2017, but he proved his speed when he won Formula Challenge race 2 in Spain and went on to finish ninth in the championship.

"It was a nice surprise to get the seat with Malta Force," said Matthew. "They had a very strong season last season, and Jason [Muscat] has been around for quite some time so I think it'll be good to have that experience. Also, it's actually my favourite looking car so I couldn't be happier! In terms of expectations, I have none. Obviously, I'm always trying to do the best that I can, and I tend to get a bit serious about it, but I'm just going to enjoy my racing this season. Give it everything, and hope a good result pops out the other side."

Let's all wish Malta Force good luck this season.
