After a turbulent Belgian GP, Dan Lawrence had mixed feelings when being interviewed by the media.

"Firstly I would like to congratulate both DL Racing drivers on such strong finishes in Belgium. I think that the race itself proved that we are making advances with our chassis and driver development.

It saddens me however to announce that as of today (24/10/2000) DL Racing have terminated their contract with Ferrari and will no longer use the Ferrari engine in the 2000 GPVWC season. The reasons behind this move have been made public in the past few weeks when we stated that we were not happy with the development of the Ferrari engine in 2000. A further blow came when we were notified that Ferrari would not be developing the engine at all in 2000. Some of our sponsors have also left as they were here for Ferrari only. We wish Ferrari luck however and hope that they suceed in the future.

On a happier note we have signed an exclusive contract with Peugeot for an engine supply for the remainder of the season and have signed the following sponsors: Big Brother, Playstation. Eurobet.com, Compaq and Pirtek. A complete redesign of the livery is nearing completion and will be released before the Brazilian test session.

With these contracts in place we can now concentrate in hauling ourselves up the grid order and scoring more points in the races".
