Erdem Coban, the #1 driver of the MaMa Racing Team, was very disappointed after the first roll-out and the race in Australia, despite putting the MaMa into 4th place during qualifying.

Coban gave some hard comment towards Honda:

"They will have to improve better, because I am not an average driver. I don't feel like fighting for a top-10 result, I wanna fight for the victories and the poles. If they don't show us some promising results real fast, some major disasters might happen soon."

He was also very pleased with their new test-driver Brian Bloemendal:

"I spoke with him once. He seems very eager to develop the engine. I want to thank him for every support. Thanks to him I hope I can fight for podiums. With Brian's help I hope to fight for a podium starting from Brazil. Because Malaysia is a circuit I don't know and I don't like it either. So if we don't get good results their, I will not be disappointed. Brian can get us back at the top, if Honda does their best with giving us good material. If I don't see any good results in Brazil from myself or Leon, I will talk with the team about my future."

Sources say Coban is looking to KRB and CVRT. It seems he had a good relationship with both team managers before he signed with MaMa. Also rumours say that Coban can leave the team if he couldn't perform well with the car.

But Coban denies everything:

"Yes..I am jealous of their engines of course, but despite I like and respect Chris much, I am not planning to leave MaMa. My relation with Luc has grown and I trust him and I feel he is doing a hell of a job. However, I expect from Honda some big changes, cause the way things are going now, it will be difficult to put some results. You try to get a 4th place in qualifying with 755 BPH against all the Ferrari, BMW and Mercedes-violence. Even try to hold your 4th place in the race....that is just impossible!"
