The inaugural GPVWC F3000 race has, as the cliche goes, been run and won.

This weekend the cars of the GPVWC were packed and shipped to Imola, leaving the track in Sao Paulo to the less powered but no less exciting F3000 brigade. The number of drivers for this first was a little disappointing for the organisers, but it's early days yet.

The weekend saw the full driver line-ups from both the SCUM and BA Racing teams from the GPVWC, new MaMa Racing driver Joe Consiglio and the new test signing for Mapes-VO Andrew Cooper. SCUM's @nd driver Regan had the best of all the weekend's sessions securing pole position, fastest race lap and the race victory itself. Joe Consiglio was 2nd fastest in both qualifying and the race and Dan Lawrence took the 3rd position on the podium.
