Nothing seems to going right for S.C.U.M since arriving in Europe.

Dan Regan's wife and family stopped over in the US between events to visit family and arrived in San Marino with bad colds. Dan woke up on the morning of qualifying 'sick as a dog'. "It was a terrible feeling, my head felt like it weighed a tonne in some of the high g-force corners. Since I inadvertently admitted to testing in Spain while taking pain killers, the League gives me a pee test after every session, so, I couldn't even take any cold medicine."

Rab Harding had to rush his qualifying and get to an organised tele-conference with Southern Cross's head company in Australia. "I only had about 15 minutes of the hour to qualify in, I had to just jump in the car and do 12 quick laps and hope the setup was right. We're probably starting in the same positions as we would have if we'd had a better qualifying day but I think we would have been a lot closer to 11th."

I got varied reponses from the 2 drivers when I told them the weather report mentioned a high chance of rain. Harding said "Really?, Cool!! Of course, neither of us have run a league race in the wet, but, the testing we've done in wet conditions was very promising. Plus, the wet track will remove a lot of the BHP advantage most of the other teams have over us."

Regan's response was pretty short. "I have a cold and have to drive in the rain... Lovely, just [censored] lovely!"
