After overcoming a number of technical challenges and adversity, MCR are back, stronger than ever. Both cars finished the Spanish Grand Prix in the top seven, earning the team some valuable points.

Team manager, James Menzies, says "The race weekend went smoothly and we got some much needed points after a string of bad luck. The track didn't particularly suit the MCR Mercedes package, unlike Austria, where we're confident we will rack up some more championship points."

Andrew Turner, who finished seventh, had this to say:

"The team and I were working out a 2 and 3 stop race. The car felt good except after about 16 laps the tyres were degrading too much ... I had made the mistake of not running in the friday practise with that much fuel. In an effort to rectify the problem I told the engineers to make adjustment to the suspension prior to the race. The changes were made in conjunction with wing adjustments and this was fatal.

I am happy to slavage some points from this race and i am still running 3rd in the drivers championship. Austria will be a good race for us. The track really suits the car and i am looking forward to it."

MCR is packing up and heading to Silverstone where the team will participate in four full days of testing. Turner will take to the track for the first two days, with Chris Jones testing the following two days. This is a recent development, as the team has just now agreed to keep Jones on the team in a test driver capacity.

"Things are looking good for MCR," says Menzies. "We have three talented drivers available to us. Andy Graydon was remarkable in his debut. The Mapes-VO team have really come on strong, and we need to continue developing the car if we want to take second place in the constructors championship. Meanwhile, Andrew Turner continues to be among the top three drivers."
