Unfortunately Ian McMah has had to quit as #2 driver in the DL Racing team due to personal problems. He will take up the role of test driver for the remainder of 2000 and will almost certainly be kept in the team for 2001.

Briton Glenn Bowen will take McMahs race seat, on-loan from BA Racing. Dan Lawrence - team manager - commented "I am very sorry to see Ian having so many problems and wish him the best of luck in sorting them out. He will remain in the team as a test driver for the rest of 2000 and will hopefully be back in his race seat in 2001......I think however that his replacement Glenn Bowen is more than capable of matching his pace and will score a lot of points for us before the seasons end. Thankyou Neil Robinson! (BA Racing).

Bowen commented "After a succesful testing session with a badly setup car at Brazil, I am pleased to be joining DL Racing for the remainder of the season. Thanks goes to Neil Robinson & BA Racing for releasing me for the remainder of the season. I intend to be winning races from tis point onwards - so other teams should beware - the battle is on. Reliability is always a factor with any engine - I believe that Mercedes provide one of the most reliable engines available - but this can always be improved upon. If we are to be taken as serious contenders, we must have a reliable engine source. "To finish first - first you must finish".

I hope that partnering Scott, we can really push DL Racing forward through to the end of the season and finish as strong as possible by the seasons end. I believe I have the determination needed to push forward DL Racing and provide what has been lacking so far this season. Thomas & Silver Angels have had too much of an easy ride up until now - that is about to change immediately - I look forward to beating the Silver Angels & giving BA Racing as hard a time as possible!"
