Hernj-Roaldo's dominance of qualifying has not dimmed here at the A1-Ring. The Dutch team has taken it's 6th Pole of the 2002 season in fine style with Daan Van Renswoude at the wheel. Erdem Coban, former MaMa Racing driver & now Hernj-Roaldo test/reserve driver, has taken 2nd spot on the grid in his 1st race meeting in the car while Mikko Jakonen and Mapes-VO continue their fine form and have established themselves as 'best of the rest' in 3rd place.

Joe Consiglio put on another fine performance to land 4th spot just .056 of a second ahead of MCR rookie - Andy Graydon in 5th.

Dan Lawrence surprised with his best qualifying result of the 2002 season taking 6th place ahead of BA Racing's test/reserve driver Antonio Irissari in 7th.

Blair Disely strangled every ounce of power out of the paltry Asiatech engine, he lines up 8th ahead of the two KRB's! which both have over 100bhp more available to them but have failed to use it. James Davidson lines up 9th marginally faster than Mapes-VO's 2nd driver, Kieran Ryan in 10th.

New KRB driver, Gene Annunziata, didn't exactly set the world on fire with his 11th place on the grid setting a time very marginally quicker than Martin Ortiz in 12tyh for Stealth GP.

Pablo Arteaga qualified 13th for his final GPVWC Grand Prix before leaving for pastures new, just ahead of team mate Guilo Paperelli in 14th. The Jonk's are underperforming once again.

Danny Regan lines-up 15th, his worst showing so far this season on a track he loathes.

William Ponissi is well over a second shy of Regan in 16th place, splitting the two Renault powered S.C.U.M's. Peter Harding therefore takes up 17th place on the grid.

GPVWC rookie, Risto Taiple, lines up in 18th place for TGM which is the 1st time since Malaysia the team has had 2 cars on the grid!

Andrew Creek is that last of the legal qualifiers in 19th place, the sole CVRT on the grid as Darren White failed to take to the circuit today.

Chris Day was disqualified after scrutineering for failing to follow GPVWC regulations. So, 20 qualifiers for the 2002 GPVWC Austrian Grand Prix, leaving 2 non qualfiers of Darren White for CVRT and Andrew Turner for MCR.
