The GPVWC press corps had been advised in a statement by F3000 administrator Dan Regan that they will regretably be postponing the remainder of the F3000 season until the northern winter.

Regan said the main reason for this decision was the lack of participants in the events so far. "The competitors that have been racing has been very enthusiastic but there just isn't enough of them to justify the time and expense of running the remainder of the races at this time. We will definately be continuing the series at the end of the current GPVWC season. We will be releasing the revised calander as soon as the main league releases thier off season testing schedule. There is also a chance that we may add some events at some more exotic locations."

"I'd like to thank the drivers that have taken part in the races up to this point and congratulate Erdem Coban on his back to back clean sweeps in the last couple of races, Robert Filipe and Dan Lawrence on thier consistancy and, of course, myself for leading the championship up to this point"

"See you all in the winter".
