MCR driver Andy Graydon came to talk to the press.

"Monaco, not one of my favourite circuits. Despite many free practice laps, it remains difficult for me to spot the areas where I could make up time. But in qualifying, I set my fastest lap in the Mercedes powered MCR, which is a very pleasant feeling."

"7th on the grid - ahead of one of the BMW cars, and only half a second off third. It confirms that Monaco is definitely a leveller, and brings out the driver skill in us all. But the race will be a completely different matter - consistency will be the key, no room for a mistake or your race could be over. The leading cars seem fast at this level, and we all know how difficult it is to pass on these twisting street sections. Strategy and pit times could hold the key to victory during the race, as well as the compliant nature of the backmarkers!"

"I'm really looking forward to the race though - there's nothing quite like the challenge of racing between barriers for over 1.5 hours knowing that you've done the best you can without making that big mistake."

"Hopefully the "sights" may be a distraction for the younger drivers out there - I hear the BA Racing boys have been to the Playboy yacht. Good for them, less set-up time on the race car! And perhaps a little less stamina too!!!"
