After the race, Dan Lawrence looked happy of how the race ended a truly forgettable weekend.

"Firstly I must congratulate Scott Smith for his strong performance at Silverstone. He scored us 11 points which will be of great help in hauling us past Britten in the constructors standings.

The race went fairly well for Scott. He didn't report any problems with the car and kept his head down, drove a clean race and finished in a respectable 7th place.

1 week ago I would have been disappointed to have only one car finish in the points - and in 7th, but after our nightmare practice and qualifying sessions it has come as a welcome sigh of relief. We were hoping for more in our home Grand Prix but are satisfied to have at least scored points.

Glenn on the other hand continued his weekend from hell. He lined up 19th on the grid after being disqualified from qualifying (due to an underweight car) and raced knowing that he would have a 60 second penalty added to his total race time. This hindered his progress somewhat doubled up with severely limited track time before the race. He opted for a no-stop strategy to try and claw back the 60 second deficit. It was a wild gamble and he had nothing to lose, but unfortunately it did not pay off. Before his penalty was added he was still classified in last position (out of all classified runners).

Glenn had the following comments, "The weekend ended the way it began - badly. After losing most of my warm up time & being put to the back of the grid I wasn't in the best of minds for the race. I was determined to do as well as possible & hoped for a good bit of "damage control". We decided on a no stop strategy to try & make up for the penalty - but the tyres went away after only 9 laps! It was my decision to stay out on the tyres hoping that they would come back to me later in the race - which never happened. I'm glad the weekend is over & am going to concentrate on Canada - I'm not beaten yet!".

Peugeot have still not solved the problems which struck in qualifying (when one engine refused to fire up), but we are sure it will be sorted out by the time we get to Canada."
