At a press conference earlier today TBA manager Chaz Charlton was overjoyed to confirm that the team had secured it's first point since his own scoring drive at Melbourne earlier in the year.

"The whole team is relieved" admitted Charlton. "We were beginning to think that we might not get another point all season, but to score such a vital point at our home circuit is a real bonus and we would just like to thank all the loyal TBA fans for supporting us and doing us proud and would just like to confirm that we are providing a 36-seater bus for them on next years trip to the circuit."

"We are especially pleased for Jonas too, scoring his first point in his first race as full driver. we have high hopes for him next season and for the remaining two races this year".

When asked about Ruud Nanne’s continuing run of bad luck (he crashed on the first lap after suffering bad understeer all weekend), Charlton remained philosophical stating that the engineers were fully committed to proving a drivable car for him at Canada and points were expected from him in the final two races. Reporters were also keen to discover the financial status of the team since the new sponsors, Knight Air officially join the team today. "Well obviously I can't comment too much on this at the present time" Admitted Charlton "But we are in a better financial position than we were two races ago. Yes, cut backs have been made, especially in the team transportaion areas but we are still confident of a profitable season and at least we now get all our air transport free. Besides, I am looking into different areas of investment for the team as we speak."

Charlton was later seen leaving the press facility in the passenger seat of a grubby 3 wheel Reliant van. Both drivers were ushered into waiting taxi's but it transpired that they simply got driven around the corner and had to cycle the 4½ miles back to the team HQ.

In an unconnected matter, North Yorkshire Police are investigating a number of dealings of a certain Total Bargain Automobiles second hand car dealership that commenced trading on the day the F1 outfit arrived in the area about a number of 'irregularities' in their operating practices. The police found a large stash of 'mint flavoured confectionary' on the premises in a warranted search and police have interviewed certain members of the teams pit crew in relation to the dealings of the cowboy car sales firm. When asked about this matter, Charlton was quick to deny any knowledge of the second hand car dealership firm and fully backed his staff as being totally innocent of any foul play and the incident was completely unconnected with TBA Racing.

This reporter would just like to thank TBA racing for the magnificent press pack issued by the team which included an 18 carat gold identity bracelet, a box of King Edward cigars, money off vouchers for 'shop soiled' goods from Nick the Greeks Electrical Emporium, Hackney, 8 trade packs of Polo mints and the offer of free MOT and servicing from new local firm Terrific Budget Auto's which would commence trading next week.
