The 2021 Formula Challenge season will be the 10th GPVWC Formula Challenge season.

Teams and drivers
Team changes
Only 4 teams remained from the end of 2020 season; THUnderdog, Downforce Scalextric Racing, Valle eSports and the GPVWC Academy team.
- RBA Racing, HGP Motorsports, Nova Simracing, Eight-Six eRacing, Santen and Fryslan Racing Team were promoted to Supercup for 2021.
- Asombik Esports, DriveGameSeat Simracing, Madness Racing, Rookie Monsters, Team Gridline and Geo GrandPrix withdrew from the Career Ladder after 2020.
New & returning entries
- TCS off Racing and Scuderia Clay KAP moved down from the Superleague Lights Championship to race in the Formula Challenge.
- Deltec Racing and Smile Power Racing both re-entered the careerladder after being out for several years.
- Alfa Sierra Simracing, AlphaDelta Racing, Apstineo Force Polonia, Kings Racing, Nova Finlandia, SRG and Team Ferlič all joined at the beginning of 2021.

2021 Calendar
The 2021 season changed its raceday from the Wednesday to the Tuesday, every two weeks. The 2021 calendar follows the 16-round limit introduced in 2019. The first round will take place in Australia and the last will take place in Brazil, with each race taking place on a Tuesday, every two weeks. The exception to this will be the customary Summer Break in August,
