The GPVWC Administration announced the full lineup for the 2012 GPVWC Supercup, a season that will surely build up on an excellent 2011 campaign and feature a 14-team grid with four new outfit making their SC bow.

Defending Champions Malta Force surprisingly pulled out from the 2012 season, citing a lack of time by manager Jason Muscat; they were followed by Nijo Racing, which decided to concentrate their effort on the Superleague team, and TDR, which merged with Hawkeye. Nordsjoen Racing also won't feature in the new season, having relinquished its Supercup assets to a new team - and doing so, the top four teams from the 2011 season won't appear on the grid in March.

With Globe Racing, Williamson Dynamics and Mineral GP also bowing out of the Supercup, a total of four slots opened up, and they were hotly contested by an amazing nine teams which submitted applications. Even though only four were ultimately accepted, it is hoped the remaining outfits will feed into the newly launched GPVWC Formula Challenge championship.
