Scott Woodwiss has made the sudden announcement that effective as of now he will be relinquishing his roles both as a driver for the No Fear Racing Supercup team and his commentating role in the Formula Challenge series broadcasts.

"Due to personal commitments, I feel that certain things have to take priority in my life right now, and racing sadly isn't one of them. I have informed Adam Smith and Ojay Clark of my intentions and they have been very understanding, so I am very thankful to both of them. It is a shame that I have had to give up both of these roles, but I am in need of a rethink of the main factors of my life and this in turn has forced me to make a few decisions."

Woodwiss has also stated that despite this announcement, he will still be providing commentary for the series' flagship Superleague championship. The announcement now leaves No Fear Racing with an open driver slot alongside David Fidock. He and team boss Ojay Clark, who stood in for Woodwiss at this round, put on an excellent display in the Abu Dhabi Supercup race, with Ojay and David finishing 2nd and 4th respectively. It is expected that No Fear will announce a replacement in due course.
