Excitement for the first GPVWC-run full Indycar series is growing as the eight venues for the Championship are announced.
The inaugural Atlantic Series will run between mid-May and mid-September and feature a selection of American tracks.

The championship will represent the GPVWC's first foray into US-style racing outside of one-off events.

"It has been a long time coming - something we originally envisaged as early as 2002 when Superleague cars, with a few adaptations, tested at Milwaukee" said GPVWC Chief Admin Will Ponissi.

"Back then, obviously, there was no technical or physical mean to organise such a series but the time is definitely ripe now to bring such a spectacle to GPVWC."

The calendar for the Atlantic Series is as follows:

2015-05-12 - Long Beach Grand Prix, Streets of Long Beach
2015-05-26 - Grand Prix of Indianapolis, Indianapolis Motor Speedway
2015-06-09 - GPVWC Indy Classic, Indianapolis Motor Speedway Oval
2015-06-23 - Vegas Grand Prix, Fremont Street Circuit
2015-08-04 - Lexington Grand Prix, Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course
2015-08-18 - Grand Prix of the Carolinas, Charlotte Motor Speedway
2015-09-01 - Florida Grand Prix, Sebring International Raceway
2015-09-15 - Grand Prix of the Americas, Circuit of the Americas

The GPVWC Administration would like to thank all the individuals who have contributed to the research work for this series, and in particular Ben Horrill for the groundwork that has made this possible.

Information about sign-ups and race format will be released in the coming weeks.
