The Norwegian team's 2018 car, driven by David Fidock and Alex Cooper, features a design hailed as an evolution of its 2017 contender.
Nordsjoen Racing unveiled its 2018 contender, the NR011, as it kick-starts a season in which it aims to mount a serious challenge for both titles.

The new car, featuring a dark blue livery with the Nordsjoen cross on the engine cover, is an evolution of its race-winning 2017 one. Pre-season testing didn't allow anyone to see any glimpses of pace, but the times can be misleading, says Team Principal, Will Ponissi.

"Pre-season testing is not the moment to go for glory laps or push to the limit," said Ponissi. "It is a time to work on understanding the car, the tyres and ensure reliability is where we want it to be. I am confident in the work our team has done and I am committed to giving David and Alex the best possible car to fight for both titles."

David Fidock, car #19: "Pre-season is finally over and I'm very much motivated for the season ahead. The last two season I have struggled with the car and tyres, but this year the car is very much suited to my style of driving, so it's time to get back to winning ways!

"Alex and myself have been pushing very hard during the winter to get the car where it should be and we hope to make a massive fight in both the drivers and teams titles. With Australia just around the corner, we hope everything is just right for the season ahead."

Alex Cooper, car #27: "Testing went great, I settled into the team even better than expected and I'm looking forward to getting the season started. I think the best approach is always to keep expectations at a realistic level, having said that I'm in the best place to hopefully return to the front of the field.

"Nordsjoen is a team with a rich history and I'm relishing the opportunity to add to the list of the accomplishments the team already holds. Working with David as my team mate and David Jundt as our test driver is also something I'm excited about, as it will give me the chance to improve as a driver, there's always something to learn and I can't wait to get 2018 started."

The Nordsjoen NR011 has been skilfully designed by Christian Zoerner of Gerdoner Designs.
