Hawkeye have confirmed that the hugely talented Alex Cooper will be returning to the league to race for the team along side the exciting prospect Tobias Olsson.

GPVWC stalwarts Hawkeye Racing held a ceremony to introduce their new 2017 car, the RS-17 as well as announce their line-up.

The new car, manufactured in the Lake District, features a completely new colour scheme. Team owner, Ric Scott explains the reasoning behind the change.

"We felt it was time to mix things up with the livery after having a relatively similar design for the last few years. Our first ever livery back in 2000 was day-glow yellow and blue so we thought it'd be great to bring it back this year."

The car will be powered by their own Talos engine which they developed for the 2017 season.

Alongside Cooper and Olsson, Hawkeye confirmed Dino Paolini will be their test driver, an important role for the German now the team are
developing their own engine.

Scott is adamant the team are not just there to make up the numbers after a poor 2016 season.

"Last year was very disappointing for us, we actually started focussing on 2017 halfway through the season to ensure we could get back to where we belong this year. Both myself and Wopke are thrilled with how our preparation has gone and we're excited to see where we'll be come 9 March in Australia."
