Measuric plan to keep up momentum from 2016

After a successful 2016 season, Measuric Racing today announced that both Dino Paolini and Wopke Hoekstra will stay at the team. A solid line-up that will compete for prizes, team manager Mike Schroten says ambitiously.

Last season Measuric Racing ended up fourth in the standings with Paolini also just outside of the top 3 in the drivers standings. Mike Schroten explains the decision to stick to the 2016 line-up: We have managed to really turn our season around after the summer break, what shows that both Paolini and Hoekstra are on such a high racing level that they can both compete to the top of the field. We have had a rough start of the season, with Mark Wicks (later replaced by Hoekstra) and Paolini struggling to score the results that we knew they could achieve

Hoekstra and Paolini have driven a lot together last season, driving for Measuric Racing in both Supercup and the Atlantic Series. In the last series they managed to become constructors champion, while Hoekstra just missed out on the drivers championship by 2 points. I am looking forward to another season with Dino, Wopke explains. I believe we are a great team and a force to be reckoned with as we showed everyone last year in the Supercup and Atlantic Series. Dino add to this, Wopke is a great teammate and GPVWC is a very enjoyable league-environment.

While both drivers are positively looking forward to the new season, they reckon that the grid is still one of the most competing. The new season should be more competitive overall. You could already see that at the end of last season how similar everyone's pace ended up being. Dino says. Wopke: The grid is very interesting, with a lot of new faces! I believe our experience can help us to beat the other drivers on the grid, but some of them may surprise.
