The German driver overcomes the bad luck of his first two races to score his first win of the season in Azerbaijan, edging polesitter Risto Kappet and Jarl Teien.
ACR Zakspeed are the in-form team at the moment and they confirmed it in Baku as the GPVWC Superleague took on the Azerbaijan Grand Prix for the first time ever.

Qualifying saw a front-row lockdown for the team, Risto Kappet only 0.075 ahead of teammate Alex Siebel. Evolution's Dennis Jordan was a surprise third, with Jarl Teien in fourth for Edge Esports.

Come the race, Siebel was finally able to shed the bad luck that affected him in the first two opening rounds and get on top of his team-mate, scoring his first-ever Superleague victory. The German's success meant the series had its third winner in three events. Kappet finished 4 seconds adrift, gaining valuable points for his championship run, with Jarl Teien close behind.

The result extends Kappet's lead in the championship, courtesy of Geoffrey Fournier's sixth place. The Estonian now enjoys a lead of 20 points over the Epic Racing driver. Jarl Teien is third, one point behind Fournier, while race winner Siebel is only seventh, the 25 points from Baku his only entry in the kitty.

ACR Zakspeed leads comfortably the Constructors' Championship after its first two-car finish of the season. At 86 points, they are 24 ahead of Edge Esports and 31 ahead of Epic Racing.
