The new series has been presented at GPVWC Day, with details now being confirmed. The GPVWC Management also announced details about important dates for SL and SL2 and the new licence fees for the Career Ladder.
The new series, Superleague Lights, will be a testing ground for managers looking to experience a taste of the trademark management system of GPVWC. With a full development system - capped at a range of 50% of the Superleague one - but spec engines and reduced bidding options, managers will be able to demonstrate they have what it takes to make it to the Superleague.

Superleague Lights races will be ran on a distance of around 250km, rather than 305km as in Superleague - equal to nearly 80% of the full race distance. The cars, while sharing a base, will have a slightly different level of performance to ensure Superleague remains the ultimate level of driving experience in GPVWC.

The GPVWC Management is currently finalising plans for a relegation system for the two series, while other minor announcements are in the pipeline and will be shared soon.

Finally, the GPVWC Management have released details about the Licence Fees for 2018. The fees have been raised to cover the increasing costs of running the league to ever-increasing levels of professionalism, with all revenue invested into making the GPVWC better.
