As 2013 fast approaches Royal Blue Racing are preparing for
an entry into the GPVWC Formula Challenge Series. RBR enjoyed a successful
debut season in the GPVWC, finishing 4th in the World Sport Series Constructors
Championship closely behind well established sim racing teams, and also 5th
& 13th in the Drivers Championship.

After enjoying success in its first campaign, Royal Blue
will be looking to gain entry into 2013 Formula Challenge season. Team owner
Matt Clipp had this to say. "In the World Sport Series we achieved everything I
had planned to do from the start, I gave two GPVWC rookies a chance to race for
the team, and they brought home great results. Not only did we achieve the main
goal, which was a strong position in the Constructors Championship, but we also
achieved our other goal, which was to get one of our drivers a seat into the
Green Stripes Racing team, to aid our Supercup campaign. I will be looking to
do the same this year, first and foremost should we gain entry to the series,
we want the campaign to be a successful one for the team, and come the end of
the year we would like at least of our drivers to make the step up, either into
the GPVWC Supercup or Superleague.

Royal Blue Racing also confirmed that they already have two
drivers ready for the 2013 campaign, to which may come as a surprise to some RBR
team boss Matt Clipp will take the first seat, the team boss had this to say. "When
I joined the GPVWC back in September 2011, I had never even raced before, it
was just something that looked like something I would enjoy, after two races I somehow
found myself driving for Draig Racing in the Superleague. After a successful one
off race I was offered my chance to drive full time in the 2012 Superleague
season, obviously I jumped at the chance, but looking back now that wasn't the
smartest thing to do, I was part of one of the strongest leagues in racing with
only four races under my belt. I didn't realise how steep the challenge would
be until I had signed on the dotted line. Anyway I gave my best and I didn't give
up, if it didn't go well, which quite often it didn't, I just moved forward.
But the time has come I feel I need to restart over, and start from the bottom
and work my way up".

Taking the second seat at Royal Blue racing will be GPVWC
newcomer Paul Joseph. Paul had this to say "I am very happy to join the team
and would like to thank Matt for the opportunity, I'm looking forward to
driving the car and helping the team in any way I can, I may need a bit of help
from the beginning, but other than that I am raring to go".

The team boss also stated the team will be looking for a
reserve driver for the campaign, if you are a newcomer to sim racing or the
GPVWC then Royal Blue is the place to be. "Speed is not what I'm looking for,
just the motivation to learn and do the best you can, despite being the teams
reserve driver, I can promise you will get the chance to race".
