2018 has been a significant year for the YTF1 team as they celebrate 5 years of competition in the GPVWC.
The team marked the 5th anniversary of their GPVWC debut by sporting a special livery at the Supercup Italian Grand Prix: the cars were painted red and white, in a similar manner to that of the team's first GPVWC contender in 2013. The occasion saw success for the team, as Matt Richards prevailed in an exciting battle to win the 2nd race of the evening, having already reached the podium in the day's 1st race: this was Richards's maiden Supercup victory and a remarkable 4th win of the year for YTF1 as the team race towards 2nd place in the overall standings, behind only the dominant Scuderia Basilea.

YTF1's most successful Career Ladder campaign has been supplemented this year by an entry into Division 1 of the International Touring Cup - YTF1's 5th season in the series. Exactly 5 years and 3 days before the Japanese round of the 2018 Championship, the very first ITC race - and YTF1's very first entry into a touring car event - took place, and as the ITC celebrated 5 years of frantic action, YTF1 bounced back from a mid-season slump. Having only scored 2 points in the previous 8 races, Adrian Campfield scored points in all 3 races at Okayama, but the real cause for celebration arrived in the 3rd race of the evening: the reversed-grid draw put YTF1's Johan Lindberg and Campfield on the front row of the grid. The duo never looked like being overtaken in the race and made history by securing YTF1's first-ever 1-2 finish in over 5 years of racing in the GPVWC!
