The 2017 Supercup British Grand Prix produced a night of intense racing, with consequences for the title challengers that could stretch far into the distance.
0.9s divided P1 to P19 in qualifying, Stephane Rouault edging Geoffrey Fournier for P1 - an incredibly close result that highlighted the competitiveness of the field. It was Alex Siebel, though, who claimed the honours in Race 1, taking his Malta Force on a one-stop strategy focused on tyre management. Fournier and Rouault completed the podium after a race-long fight in a race packed with end-to-end (and remarkably clean) action. A great battle between Douwe Tapper and Chris Shepherd saw the duo trade places on and off, eventually finishing in P6 and P9.

Race 2 was also a busy affair. Wopke Hoekstra and Measuric claimed a popular victory with a lights-to-flag race. Shepherd and Dennis Jordan completed the podium.

The result means Jason Muscat, who went into this round leading the championship, drops from first to fourth in the standings after suffering a disconnection in race 1. Fournier now leads the championship, four points ahead of Siebel, while Dino Paolini, fourth in both races, trails the leader by 10 points.
