In one of the most anticipated announcements in Supercup, the Deltec Racing Team are excited to announce a partnership between James Johnson and Stephane Rouault for the 2017 GPVWC Supercup season.
We met up with the two Supercup drivers, asking them about the exciting adventure ahead:

James & Stephane, what an interesting situation to be in. In 2016 you competed as rivals; in 2017 you drive as team mates. How will you approach the Supercup season and what do you want to achieve?

Stephane: 'I'm very happy to be teaming up with James (Johnson). He's obviously a very fast and consistent racer. And he also knows how to work on the car. I think I can learn a thing or two from him. The approach for this season will be different from last season. We will be working together, to get the best possible result for both of us. I'm very much looking forward to it, can't wait!!'

James: ?It's an interesting situation but exciting nonetheless. I'm really looking forward to working with Stephane as we pushed each other to a high level in 2016 and we got on together as well which is a unique situation for a championship fight. In regards to 2017. I think that working together will allow us to exploit our full potential for a new season in a new car. I'm hoping that we will be able to fight for the championship but Supercup is a totally new experience for the both of us.?

Team Principal of the Deltec Racing Team Marius van Wyk, tell us how did this venture came about:

?It was in September, 2 days after the 2016 GPVWC FC Japanese Grand Prix that I had a conversation with James (Johnson), asking him about his future in the GPVWC League. During the conversation it was clear that James requires a team mate who has the same dedication as himself. Stephane (Rouault) agreed and the ultimate team was born! Both drivers are committed and ready for the 2017 Supercup season. We are ready to go!?
