The 2003 Superleague season was the fourth GPVWC Superleague season. It was to be the first year in which Geoff Crammond's GP4 was used.
2003 proved to be a very uncertain season season for the league, which saw the league come to the brink of extinction after the second race of the season. However Italian William Ponissi stepped in and managed to save the league, which was renamed as F1VWC and had Andy Grayson installed as the league manager. Nevertheless several teams had withdrawn and numbers dropped significantly in the mid-season, but they gradually recovered as the new league picked up a number of teams and drivers in the wake of the collapse of the rival SFO league.
