PENALTIES
  • (5538): Stephane Rouault - Avoidable contact
    5 seconds time penalty
    1 license points docked
PUSHING ANOTHER CAR OFF TRACK PENALTY. Rouault fails to give space to Fournier, who is sufficiently allongside to be given space. No avoidable contact penalty as both drivers manage to continue
  • (5536): Maciej Mlynek - Avoidable contact
    5 seconds time penalty
    1 license points docked
FORCING ANOTHER CAR OFF TRACK PENALTY. Slight contact which forces De Waal off the track, not big enough for avoidable contact penalty. Mlynek is not sufficiently allongside and taps the rear of De Waals car, forcing him slightly off the track as a result, after which Mlynek manages to overtake on the corner exit.
  • (5544): Stephane Rouault - Avoidable contact
    10 seconds time penalty
    1 license points docked
According to the rules, space must be granted to a car on the inside when the opponent is sufficiently allongside. In this case, Eyres has his front wheel next to the side pot, which grants sufficient space to be given. This is not deemed to be the case. Eyres is squeezed, wheels get locked, and Eyres gets send into a spin. More room should have been given than just the kerbs
  • (5570): Stephane Rouault - Avoidable contact - Warning
Part of incident 5512. Rouault appears to be steering in cutting off Eyres. Because of the late move by De Waal, making the battle 3 wide, it is not possible to pin blame, but on an advisory notice, more room is suggested to be given to avoid contact.
  • (5512): Liam de Waal - Avoidable contact
    10 seconds time penalty
    1 license points docked
De Waal is a car length back from Eyres and Rouault, who are side by side. At the very last moment, and already inside the braking zone, De Waal makes it a 3 wide battle. At this moment, Rouault, not expecting De Waal to be at that position anymore, starts to turn in. At this moment, Rouault could not have known that De Waal would make a dive for the inside. Because of this, De Waals move was deemed too opportunistic, in which contact could not have been avoided. Becasue of that, De Waal is deemed to have made his move too late, making an too agressive divebomb on the inside of the corner. Rouault turning into the corner and making contact with Eyres is deemed a result from De Waal restricting Eyres to turn in, but is further explained in incident 5570. Additional reference will be added to the rulebook which will be used in future cases similair, where a divebomb makes a battle 3 or more wide.
